Chuck wouldn't have caught second last boss in time (spoilers)

When you're chasing Sullivan and you use the elevator you find it full of zombies. Chuck would have had to empty the elevator of all living zombies, but wouldn't be able to just kill them all and use the elevator as it would have been over the weight limit. By the time he either lured all the live zombies out or dragged out their corpses Sullivan would have got away

Depends on what weapon he used to kill said zombies. There are quite a few that would remove that weight fairly easily.

You also don't know if it is a standard elevator as most ones that go to sections like that need to carry heavy equipment and are re-enforced to do so.

You're able to goof around for 6 hours+in the mall before you have to face him because his plane doesn't arrive until 5 am. Chuck has enough time to remove a few zombies
