It sets her up for one of her passive specials. After you remove her visors, when you have 3 bars of mana, you can burst and it will slow down the opponent.

Each character has a passive ability when you have 3 bars of mana and burst.

Archer: Nothing, But he has UBW
Assassin: For the time, his move cannot be reflected
Bazett: Runes are casted on arms and legs for the duration
Berzerker: 12 hits of Super armor
Caster: Some spells do not require any cool time
Dark Saber: Damage increase
Gilgamesh: Can summon swords straight down in any mode (22+X)
Kirei: Damage Increase (20%)
Zero Lancer: Chip damage to normal attacks / Double chip damage for special
Leysritt: Full super armor bar
Luvia: She cannot be thrown for the duration
Rider: Gorgon Eyes (Explained above)
Rin: Infinite Jewels
Saber: Excalibur (Increase in hit stun)
Sakura: Attacks reduce opponents mana
Shirou: Regenerates alot faster

A ton of it is pretty much taken from the visual novel. If you've read that, you can guess what their 300% mana does

I was seriously freaked out when I saw the 12 pop up above Berserker's magic gauge when he went Burst. Thank god it was just super armor...
