this game is a pleasant surprise.

Yeah, I've been playing it the past couple of weeks, and the game is really amazing. I'm a bit sad that I waited this long to get to it, honestly.

I think what really pulled me in after a while was the world designs. Sure, some of the gameplay mechanics are recycled between areas, and there are some minor graphical glitches... but the world is just so well made and the art direction so good, that I really don't care.

The game feels like so much passion went into it, and I think the devs did a great service to the original game released 10 years ago.

I really wish there were more games like this made. I mean, there are other 3rd person platformers, mainly Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed, but really the platformer genre just isn't as large as it was back on the N64/PSX. This game really reminds me of the older-styled games, and makes me wish there were more like them now.

I agree....Although chapter 3 is a bit longish so that turns me off a bit...*which is weird...since people say Chapter 5 is too long and I enjoyed it*

Glad to hear another few fans are out there. I bought it IMMEDIATELY when it came out b/c I thought it looked cool. Then it got a couple mediocre reviews and I never even took it out of the shrink wrap. I let it sit for about a year and fired it up. Oh my god...incredible. Absolutely amazing. Is this game of the same overall quality of say, Bioshock? Probably not. But when you factor in the surprise I had at its quality I'd say it was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.

Yeah, went through and beat the game a couple of weeks ago. It definitely ranks up there as one of my favorite games played this generation.

The art direction was just great. I loved the third chapter with the Asian aesthetic, but I think my favorite chapter has to be Queensland, especially with the flying cards in the beginning.

Playing the older game first, I appreciated all the nods to the original game and universe, and it feels like there was a lot of passion and attention to detail put into the game. I wish there were more games in this genre readily available, but they unfortunately feel like a dying breed...

The art direction in this game is amazing, the only problem is that there isn't more of it. The game's biggest flaw is it's pacing. You play an hour long stretch of a level with no context for your actions, then you get a cutscene, then it's back to platforming.

If the game had more story and characters constantly showing up around you as you platformed the game could have really made something of itself.

I got this game when it came out because my girlfriend wanted it. It really surprised me how good it was. I beat it on easy back then, and it's been collecting dust for a while. But I started playing it again a couple of days ago. I'm going to try to mop up the last few achievements I need. Very underrated game indeed.

Games don't suck because you suck at them.

I'm in the middle of the 1st alice game. I knew when I brought months ago it was good. Doing a little research on the developer and/or development process helps in finding the good games. These 2 Alice games are like Jet Grind Radio and Jet Set Radio Future: You wish there was more.

I hate myself for waiting so long to pick this game up.

Got it today and loving it.

The visual presentation of the world is just beautiful.

Tim Burton would be proud.
