Take Two admits sales below expectations

"our first quarter results were below expectations due to lower-than-anticipated sales of Spec Ops: The Line and Max Payne 3"

None of this is surprising to those of us who tried to educate certain board members on the mountain of evidence which pointed to this, which these fanboys denied. Now Take Two has admitted it in their earnings report, and the stock is at new lows, down from mid $12's just before Max launched to mid $8's. Hopefully the fanboys never put their money where their mouth was.

"Launched Max Payne 3 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The title received excellent reviews and has sold-in over 3 million units to date. Max Payne 3 is being supported by a comprehensive downloadable content plan, with new releases starting in July and extending through the fall."

"The strongest contributors to net revenue in the first quarter were the release of Max Payne 3"

Told you it would sell over 3 million before the Summer ended. lmao Owned.

Someone doesn't know what sold in means. lmao owned. Just like all those times you argued it wasn't selling poorly, now Take Two admits it sold worse than expected and they lost a lot of money last quarter.

Yes, you don't know what sold means, they have been sold to individuals not retailers, not shipped, dummy. The shipped 3 million copies at launch, now they have sold a majority of them plus digital sales = 3 million plus.

That's on all 3 platforms combined not any 1. 1 million plus on 360, PS3, 200k+ on PC, plus digital sales, which the company has access to the digital sales but the forecasting companies do not.

LMAO, "sold in" means sold to retailers, but keep on calling those who are educating you "dummies" if it makes you feel better. If you could stow your attitude borne from your ignorance, you may learn something on this board yet.
