Does armour type effect movement speed?

Im usually wearing leather (light) but I want to wear NCR ranger armour which is medium. If I wear medium armour will I run slower than if I was running in light armour?

Yes, weight does change your run speed.

You won't reeeeally notice the difference between light and medium, but if you put heavy on you'll really feel it if you've used light for a long time.

Power armor slows you down alot. not only is it heavy but reduces your agility.

light and medium aren't a big difference.

there is a perk that increases speed 10% with nude or light armor.

ways to move faster = holstering guns and not wearing power armor.

I used Ranger or combat armor and the pace isn't snail like or anything

yes.

the difference between medium and light isn't so bad
however power armor (heavy) is a pain to walk around in

Only the crappy power armor has -AGI.

T51b and Remnant do not reduce agility.

I'm at the beginning of the game and currently the best armor I can find that not about to fall apart is Metal armor and it also has a -1 to agility on it so it's not just power armor.

Don't say misleading things when you don't know what you're talking about.

What does me being near the start have to do with anything. I have metal armor. It says - 1 AGL. So therefore it also reduces AGL in addition to the Power Armor. Don't see whats the prob.
