If you like a good story, Dead Money is perfect. If you like trying to survive on a low amount of items, it's good too. The loot isn't that great, save for the holorifle. People say it can be more annoying than anything because of the traps/cloud/radios. A lot of optional dialog and making your job easier is dependent on a good amount of skills being high enough. Level cap +5 and who doesn't like being MORE of a god?

I'm personally rather biased, it's my favorite DLC and I love going through it.

Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you.

Nah, it's horrible. Mothership Zeta minus loot horrible.

I hated it the first time through, but after that knowing where things were I had much more fun the next several playthroughs.

I liked Dead Money, it's worth playing through. There are some difficult parts, especially the end, but that's a good thing. Storyline and writing wise it's well done and also well paced, you learn gradually more and more about the location and the heist as you go through and it works well.

As for loot I like the Automatic Rifle, although that might be because I love running around with a BAR because it's a badass gun. It's outmatched by the Light Machine Gun, really. If you're going with light armor, and with all the DLCs there are some great perks for you if you do, the Reinforced Sierra Madre Armor has the highest DT of any light armor.

Holorifle is better than anything from Mothership Zeta, including the Novasurge.

Mothership Zeta was a linear slog fest through enemies with vastly too much health, no storyline at all, characters so horrible that it sounds like a bad joke if you try to describe it to anyone, and, by Fallout 3's standards, horrible equipment. No Fallout DLC is as bad as that.

DM is far superior to MZ, that lore stomping FPS POS. people are very divided over DM, but as stated earlier in the thread, it gets far better after the 1st time through it.

initially, it can be frustrating if you try to play it like the rest of the game, because your gear is very limited initially and there are lots of traps to deal with. this is far easier after the 1st time when you know more of what to expect. save often and you will be fine. you just cant try to rush through and plow over everything. it will get you killed. you have to play a little bit more methodically.

make sure you go through all the dialogue, or you will miss out on the majority of the story.

not sure why everyone is so low on the loot. it is not the best, but the holorifle is insanely powerful, and the automatic rifle is a mauler. the assassins suit is a really cool light armor too.

not to mention that if you break the bank in the casino and get the chip voucher, you will never have to worry about money or ammo or food or anything really ever again.

It's the worst I've played. And having to re-do it 5 times with all my characters is a pain. But of course this is my personal opinion. There are very few but deadly monsters lying about, it has a decent plot. But if you're planning to buy the newer Add-ons, I'd recommend buying it just so you'd know about what's going to happen in the upcoming ones.
