PC users: Have you successfully ported your New Vegas save file from Xbox 360?

I couldn't resist playing New Vegas early, but the only option was Xbox 360, sadly :(

I am wondering if you can bring your 360 save to PC via a USB device and use it on the PC version like you could with Fallout 3. I have a 30 hour save on 360 but I intentionally avoided doing the main quest just in case you can't port over saves.

You could do this in Fallout 3?

So this sounds like you had a pirated copy of FONV, which if it is the case, screw off.

Yeah, you could do this in Fallout 3... patching and stuff would break it though. I'm hoping since there's no patches on either platform yet they will be compatible.

I have both versions and would try this but I have no idea how to do it.

It's very simple, just stick a flash drive in your Xbox 360's usb port, copy over the save file to your flash drive, then put the flash drive in your PC and use a program to copy over your save file from the flash drive. I recommend Modio. Drop that save file in your PC's Fallout New Vegas saves directory.

Ok, I can confirm that yes this indeed does work and thank you so much for telling me about it. Now I can continue my 30 hour game on my pc once they patch it.

Oh and it even added my pre order content to my xbox save's inventory.

Cool. Thank you for confirming! :D

Now I too can continue my Xbox save on PC... I was afraid I was going to regret it.

This is amazing.
I wonder if the exclusive DLC 360 is getting will work if you bring the save over.
