That Lucky Old Sun - where to send power to

The quest asked for power to be sent to the strip and somewhere else, but then there are several other choices. The archimedes security system obviously wipes out all nearby NCR, but the other three--power all regions, overload, and the one with two other cities--what do they do?

The two areas is what the NCR WANT you to power since it's what Fantastic is being paid to send power to. Sending power everywhere will gift power to everyone in the wasteland who has access to somewhere that would have had power before. I think the overload one renders the power station unusable, but I'm not sure since I've never tried it. You'd have to find out.

I'm just wondering what the consequences are for sending power to anywhere but where NCR tells you to. Sending power to the whole area says something about overloading or too much load...would it be best to just send it to where they say, or to send it everywhere?

It doesn't overload it jsut occcasioanlly blacks out since it is ditributing power to mroe places then it can handle all at once.

For example, if you put too many electronis on a particular circuit in your house at the same time, they will all lose power and you will have to flip the breaker.

Same idea except you won't have to flip the breaker.

Powering the Orbital Death Satellite also has the very fun side-effect of activating Euclid's C-Finder, which allows you to call down a single blast every 24 hours. Of course, there are issues if you plan to ally yourself with the NCR, but...c'mon, Burning Death From Above once per day.

Then sending power to the whole area sounds like the best choice for a good character.

I sent it to Freeside, I love the look and feel of that place.

Does the world change at all depending where you send it? I already see working lights and computers everywhere.
