Best place to sell stuff?

#1KharilllePosted 1/31/2013 6:48:27 AM
Right now I'm managing to get the brotherhood and the followers to pay off full value for stuff I flog there. For some reason I'm popular with NCR but I'm still getting only a fraction of the value of my goods.

I guess theres still a lot of room for NCR gratitude eh?

What's the best people, best timing to sell stuff to any groups? Is it possible there are good merchants in NCR who can give full value? I found the new vegas water seller outside ultralux to be good to sell to as well.....

uh, places to sell is places that have stuff you NEED.

honestly who cares about VALUE. you can typically carry god knows how many caps in value in goods off the battlefield just from the fiends for chrissakes.

unless you are salvaging tin cans like some bum you don't care about the 1:1 ration of purchasing power.

what you care about is getting the ammo, guns, modifications, drugs or other things you need.

You got contreas, Red Rock Armory, Hoover dam, Gun Runners, 188 gun merchant, Silver Rush
...I'll throw in the mojave out post bar, the New Vegas Clinic and Followers mormon fort. oh and briscoe's shop in novac isn't terrible.

The repair shop with old lady gibson isn't terrible for an early place to pawn stuff for caps.

but if you aren't walking back with tens of thousands of caps worth of trade goods, you are hauling back the wrong loot.

oh and the Lonesome road commisionaries are a place to dump stuff for caps rapidly.

I'm still trying to buy up all the implants. Also to maximize Raul's repair I need caps and losing one sixth of it is a waste. I know there are some merchants that'll give me full value for what I carry over.

I'm pretty sure selling price is only based off of reputation and barter skill unless you do something that gives you a discount. if you have a high repair skill i usually find combining items with repair will create an item with greater value then selling them seperately, and easier to carry.

....IF you need caps the easiest way is to simply trade in snow globes in the strip for Goodsprings, mormon fort, Test site, and the strip for 8000 caps?

then you take those caps to the casinos in the strip and clean them out playing black jack.

like 12000 caps from the ultra lux, 10,000 from gramorrah, 8000 from the one outside, and theres the tops, and the vicky and vance.

Tons of free starting caps. enough to easily cover your implants.

Easier to play than caravan, because I have no idea of the rules.

but black jack is simple. you have 10 luck (implant, naughty nightwear gives you +2 easy) you draw two cards, if the total is 19 or higher you stand, if its 11 you double the bet and if its anything else you hit

also if you have the DLC dead money, you can win 10K chips, and probably while going through there you'll find another 5K chips from loot or turning in pre-war clothing and cigarettes. The casino there exchanges 1 chip for 1 pre-war money which are worth 10 caps each, so you can leave with 150K worth of caps.

Don't forget leaving with ~389k worth of gold if you're really greedy/willing to slightly exploit the system.
