can I get hiro oldroad4 and don't affect the true ending?

The three optional characters acquired from Old Road 4 are not required for the true ending, nor does acquiring them affect the overall story in any way. It's more like "Here are three characters from a previous installment. Have fun!" I recommend you pick them up, because they're good characters.
