I have...
Dragonite -level 72
-Aqua Tail
-Outrage
-Dragon Rush (should I make it learn a different move, suggestions?)

-Flamethrower
Feraligatr -level 65
-Waterfall
-Ice Beam
-Earthquake
-Crunch (is this move a keeper?)

Magmar -level 63
-Flamethrower
- Fire Blast (probably should get rid of this attack or flamethrower, any suggestions?)
-Psychic
-Faint Attack

Ampharos -level 68
-Headbutt (Probably will make it learn fire punch to make it more well rounded)
-Discharge (I'll probably teach it thunderbolt)
-Signal Beam
-Power Gem

Tyranitar - level 58
-Earthquake
-Thunderbolt
-Stone Edge
-Dark Pulse

Haunter - level 52
-Dark Pulse
- Shadow Ball
- Hypnosis
- Dream Eater
Not sure if I should keep him on my team or switch him out with another Pokemon. Should I keep him and evolve him, if anyone is willing to help me out with that? Or should I use another Pokemon in his place, if so which type of Pokemon or anyone in specific?

D'nite in my experience is better off knowing 2 of the punches, outrage and dragon dance

Gator would benefit more from ice punch than beam and I go for superpower over crunch

Magmar needs evolving and give it Tbolt, SunnyBeam and keep fire blast/flamethrower (your preference)

ampharos is pathetic when it comes to physical attacks.
Tbolt
Filler
Twave
Light Screen

Ttar, either
stone edge
payback
EQ
Filler or

stone edge
crunch
eq
rock polish

Haunter, drop dark pulse. it gives the same type coverage as shadow ball. I'd say either energy ball or focus blast. Can also learn tbolt but if you go with tpunch then you've got enough electric.

Those movesets work wonders in game. If you wanna battle competitively, you definately need to evolve your magmar and haunter

Thanks for the tips. This is my first pokemon game and I was unaware that physical attacks were based on attack stats and special attacks were based off of special attack stats. That makes sense, but I never put the two and two together. I have a lot to reconsider now.

Personally the move set I like for Dnite is

Dragon Dance
Outrage
Earthquake
Fire Punch

I choose fire punch for them pesky ice types that may be immune to ground attacks.

Time... line?
Time isn't made of lines! It is made of circles. That is why clocks are round.

Also great to use against Steel types.
