Call of Duty: Black Ops

my friend keeps telling me he did it every prestige (including today) but im 99% sure its patched... plus cant he get banned for doing it...

i wouldnt really call it a glitch and it actually isn't hurting anyone it just allows low levels to be as poweful as higher levels

What is this glitch you speak of?

When you can prestige, save at least 10,000CP. Go into a high roller wager match (buy in is 10,000CP). When the map is chosen, bets are locked in and countdown is starting, prestige (very important to get this timing right). If done correctly, you'll now be at the next prestige rank as a level 1 with zero CP, but you're entered into the high roller wager match. If you place, you'll start the next prestige with some CP - as much as 30,000CP if you get first place.

hmm, i might have to try this, r u sure they cant perma ban you?

IIRC, they only permaban if you alter the scripts or whatever. (download and install hacks)
