Can't find a match in Black Ops (PS3)?

#1snowball143pPosted 8/11/2011 10:08:43 AM
Whenever I go to player match, my PS3 will say "Joining 14 potential matches" but it just ticks down to 1 and starts over. Eventually, it'll make me host and say "waiting for [however many] players" but it will never find any. I have a fast and secure internet connection, too. Is this an aftereffect of PSN's big crash, or is my PS3 or copy of Black Ops a dud?

What's your NAT type? Is it a wired or wirless connection? Mine's open (port forwarding) and wired and I have 0 problems connecting. Also, press select and check your search preferences. If it's locale only, you may have more problems connecitng.

My NAT type is Type 2 and open, and I do not know how to check search options. How do you do it? Is it on the PS3 or the router?

Sorry, I forgot to mention: it's wireless.

on the ps3, go into player match and before you pick tdm or whatever, press select (it'll say something at the bottom of the screen) check that and see what that's set to.

The wireless shouldn't make too much of a difference, but a wired connection will always be better. I think I get around 15/5 wireless, IIRC, and like 25/10 wired.

Thanks. I don't have my PS3 with me now, but I'll try it when I do.
