I got a HDTV. And I'm having huge problems playing this game. The quality is terrible. At first I thought it was my sensitivity but it's not. I can't even play on a 2! It seriously looks like LAG! I would rather play on my old Tv with a sensitivity of 8. I'm guessing I need HDCP, or HDMI cable. Please help, thanks

Yes you definetly need an HDMI cable. You're probably running at 720p right now, the HDMI will let you run at 1080p. I believe this is your problem but I'm not a very tech person. Hope this helps.

HDMI cable will help your picture and sound but the 'Lag' is normal for HDTV usually only slightly noticeable when you first start playing. Bigger the TV the more noticeable it is, just keep playing on it. You'll adjust to it, but get a HDMI cable, what's the point of a HDTV otherwise :)

You may want to set your tv's input to game mode.

This will prevent your tv from optimizing the picture and thus creating all sorts of lag.

Check the handbook or the user forums for your vendor or tv type to find out, how to set game mode for your set.

Without game mode, I experienced, what I call drunken sailor syndrome, because I would tumble around like one in COD.

Thanks, I will definitely be getting an HDMI cable. My TV is only 32 inches so I guess the 'Lag' type thing shouldn't be that noticable.

I would bet that the newer tv-sets do it all. The least thing they have to do is to adjust the resolution, because they get all sorts of that from tv. So its only a small step to smoothen some edges or brighten some picture areas. And its only software, they can put it on all their tvs for no additional cost. And a lag of 3 or 5 frames is nothing, when watching tv. But in COD its the difference between killing and getting killed.

Let me know, whether changing the cable is sufficient.

I think that's exactly my problem.. and can't that be fixed with HDMI?

I'm pretty sure the HDMI takes care of it. I used to get lag all the time on my HDTV, and I always blamed the net (which also had it's share of the damage). I also was tired of using the scart, since both my scarts were either broken or couldt accept my tv. The first one would play around with the games brightness and the other one would always make this buzz sound. I searched my drawers and boxes for all cables. Eventually I found an HDMI. It's so much better! The image is better, less lag, wider view... And no buzzing or lightning problems!
