So in the UK GTA Episodes from Liberty City is available for pre-order at£24.99 (approx $40).
I was wondering if there is enough gameplay in the two games to warrant spending that much.
Obviously The Ballad of *** Tony is out yet so lets just say it has an equivalent amount of gameplay as The Lost and Damned.
I haven't played the Lost and Damned so wouldn't know if £24/$40 is a reasonable price to pay for both.
Is buying GTA Episodes from Liberty City as a standalone game worth it?
yes, TLAD is easily one of the best pieces of DLC in DLC history, and I highly doubt TBOGT will be any LESS epic than TLAD
tlad has 10-20hrs of fun gameplay (if you do the side stuff) so i'd say this is well worth getting.
That's longer than a lot of full price, normal retail games today. So to me it sounds like a bargin.
The Lost and the Damned was only an hour or two long...
Girl gamers don't exist.
Everyone is casual on Gamefaqs.
it wasn't 20, and it was not 1 or 2. I think I did a full story mode and side quests (not including birds and stuff) in about 8 hours.
it's not 1 or 2, it's 8-10.
You need the original GTA IV to play these expansions, so you shouldn't just buy them standalone. I'm not even sure I understand this question though.
The Hives are law, you are crime.
^ Episodes from Liberty City does not require GTA4.
I'm not the only one of the opinion that L&D wasn't worth $20, unless of course you really want another storyline to play through. If you really liked gta4 it's worth it, but if you thought it was in any way lacking (for a gta game), L&D isn't going to change your mind.
However GT may be worth more than $20 if they have more surprises up their sleeve (hoping for a new landmass myself) so the disc may be worth it.
Of course if you had just got your 360 and are trying to decide between gta4 and episodes, wait for episodes.
