Most people come to Gamefaqs to complain and argue about games, If you have a problem with that, Maybe Video Game Message boards aren't for you.

TC is stating that the game needs to be complained about so another game like Other M doesn't happen. The sales numbers and the developers response already shows that they've acknowledged fans don't like the game so why does the game need to be complained about at this point? I don't have a problem with having a discussion about a game, but when you say it has a purpose, well that's just silly.

^^^Not at all, Shah. How badly we don't want anything like this again cannot be stressed enough, and it should keep going for as long as possible. As long as there's complaining about Other M, the series is protected from things that are like it.

The developers are already well aware that some fans don't like the game, and it's apparent from all the message board complaining and the videos and the sales numbers. And this was way back in 2010 and some of 2011. Everything that needs to be complained about has been said multiple times over already so nobody "needs" to complain about the game at this point.

SOPA didn't pass due to all the complaining, so no politician dared ruin his career by backing it. But there are all bills that are far worse than SOPA that ARE going to pass that allow the government to track IP activity, under the guise of protecting minors from witnessing porn. This is something no politician would dare object to, because it would ruin his reputation. But everyone was right to stop complaining when SOPA didn't pass, right?

People still complained after SOPA, remember ACTA and PIPA? People complaining about Other M now is more like the whole 99% thing, annoying as hell and accomplishes absolutely nothing.

Opinions aren't wrong.

No, they can be and are. If an opinion is founded on faulty logic or a fact(s) that is(are) not true, then it is invalid because it is unsupported.

That doesn't make it wrong. The means you don't agree with it.

Yes. Yes it does. That is what the word 'wrong' means, that it is incorrect in some way.

An opinion can not be incorrect.

Random google'd quote I like: "Of course [an opinion can be wrong]. If I can demonstrate that your view, judgement or appraisal formed in your mind about a particular matter is wrong, your opinion is wrong." This has happened to edward, many times from many people, and every time he hid behind Opinions Can't Be Wrong So You Can't Criticize Mine defense.

I'm surprised I have to explain this: That fact that things are opinions doesn't matter. 99% of things spoken, written and thought are opinions. This is understood by everyone. Don't live in ed's world where you have to punctuation everything with "IMO" so that everyone will know that the things you say are opinions. That's ridiculous. No one should have to weaken their statements by reminding their audience "don't panic guys, this is only my humble opinion, don't nobody get offended." It's good to have strong opinions made as statements, provided you have the solid reasoning to back them up, and I do. It's just silly to constantly remind everyone that what you say is opinion, obviously it's an opinion.

What matters is if the opinion is well-researched, founded on truth, is well appraised and thought out, etc. You can have a good opinion, and you can have a very bad, willfully ignorant opinion. You should try to have better opinions. Bad, unfounded opinions are wrong, but cowardly debaters would not like you to know that. Using the Just Your Opinion and My Opinions Can't Be Wrong defenses are like holding up a neon sign that says "I HAVE BAD OPINIONS THAT I CAN'T BACK UP."

A lot of the time people don't realize that one famous scene from The Big Lebowski is a parody. The Jesus says something along the lines of "WE'RE GONNA **** YOU UP", and it's not like The Dude can rejoin with "Not uh we beat you all the time." He knows The Jesus is right. So all he can do is sheepishly grin and say "Well, that just, like, you know, your OPINION man," (paraphrased) knowing that he's thoroughly screwed. It's a scene of someone who can't defend himself, not The Dude making a clever remark. The point is that he looks an idiot, as does everyone who resorts to that defense.

And an opinion can not be wrong. It's a belief. The facts that the opinion is claiming can be wrong, but the opinion itself can not be.

Which is a thing that can be wrong.
