I don't read the manual. So if it's in there then maybe everyone should, but whatever. For those who are like me here are some commands that you may find useful.

/chatmode 'type' (name)

You can use this for a lot of things. If you want to say keep your chat locked into party you can do a /chatmode party and this will lock it in.

/chatmode tell NAME SURNAME
Locks tell

etc. nb4 RTFM.

CTRL + R was to much to ask for in XIV I guess.

ctrl r worked in beta, or some hotkey combo i remember

I recall ctr+r only working after you type the full name. Such as if a go /tells you out of nowhere, you couldn't ctr+r to respond to him. You had to type a full name /tell then you can ctr+r afterwards.

Wonder if its still the same.

Ctrl+r does work. Just click the chat menu (or hit space bar) and ctrl+r. Ctrl+P works too

Triple spam. If you hit Ctrl+R a few times it switches to recent tell commands so you can get one with and without a name.
