just because I dont like to play FFXIV does not mean I dont like talking about it with other people.
If I want to talk about how bad the game is with other people who think the game is bad, why does it upset you? is there some sort of gamefaqs stipulation that says, "you can only post good things about a game" did gamefaqs turn into errorpedia, full of censorship sometime when no one noticed? . if you like this game, that's fine. continue liking it. but no one is forcing you to come defend the princess' honor, though. just because you are a square fanboy doesn't mean you must come and argue about why you think the game is good in every single thread.
you know, you can find other things to do with your time like go out (by yourself, of course), either outdoors, or out on the web. Do things, meet people, enjoy sunshine, fresh air, rain, snow, lolcats, or Utube vids. Sometimes I think being a square lover is like a software license. No one actually reads it. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree and proceed to argue on every single message board.
you know, it may be hard for immature people, but you can like something and be honest about it's faults and short comings. I like 80s rap music. but i do not like all the drugs and violence in modern day rap music. the world is not always black and white, friends.
I don't have an issue with describing a flaw in a game and what caused you to quit or lose enjoyment. I just have an issue with boards full of repetitive squabbling. Not to mention bandwagon bashing. Negativity is fine, immaturity is not. I have been in topics before where fans and disappointed players politely discussed elements in a game, but sadly this is rare on GameFAQs. People seem to prefer barging into topics with unhelpful one-liners such as "This game sucks.", or just outright insulting anyone who does enjoy the game. The topic I made earlier managed to stay civil for a fair amount of time, so I am at least legitimately prepared for some disappointment if I do decide to try this game out.
