It's okay though. Just like every other issue with this game, it's being written off with "It's a 6 month old demo" or "Nah, it'll be fine" so I'll just agree and move on.

Honestly a Hell and Hell mode would be perfect for a game like this.

Whats hilarious with how different things are, is this game is significantly easier than Ninja Gaiden 1 when that first came out on the XBOX. Games like that are almost illegal now and not 1 single dev that Im aware of is willing to make a game that is that unforgiving.

Even if they left it that way it was, it still would not be on the level of difficulty that NG was. It just goes to show how this whole casual gaming trend and wanting to cater to everyone has infiltrated almost every genre and franchise out there now.

Good, easy should be easy. I hate playing a game for story and getting stuck in an "easy" mode where I keep dying and have to do the same stupid part of a game over and over.

I think this is great news. I play games for story and atmosphere. Life provides enough stress, I don't need my games throwing game over screens at me when the only reward is a false sense of accomplishment. Like beating the game on hardcore mode somehow means anything at all.

So the flow of the plot isn't crippled by Game Over screens? When the game stops being fun and begins to feel like a chore?

Honestly I don't see the cause for an uproar as it's only on easy (ala easy automatic on past DMC games), odds are choosing easy will limit your rewards and stop you from moving up in difficulty.
