jurrian91Posted 2/11/2013 1:15:32 AM (edited) | 5 hours seems reasonable for Rising. However, the player's stats lead me to believe that he just rushed through everything. --- "He said that the MC made dick move." -gohobojoe |

If you wanna get high rankings during the first playthrough or Revengeance difficulty, you'll probably want to plan your next move instead of rushing in headfirst. --- http://www.p4rgaming.com/?p=928 - Eat a sack of **** IGN | UnOfficial Getter Robo of anything ever |

what makes this worth paying $60 for again? Oh right, nothing. Bro, go play Nintendo. Ace10of27SpadesPosted 2/11/2013 2:16:52 AM | What if...hahaha. What if that was just one level? And all the grades below are ranks from checkpoints (like Bayonetta?). It's actually a reasonable possibility. It might be really easy to die in a level at first. --- Quit telling people to grow up, until you stop collecting toys and playing video games. -_- |

Devil_wings00Posted 2/11/2013 3:16:00 AM | Super_Smily_Dea posted...It's 2013 and we're complaining about the length of action titles? God of War 1-3 as well as the PSP games are about 5-6 hours tops, DmC was around 10 for me and I felt that overstayed it's welcome *I enjoy most of the game, just could do with less*
More does not always equal better, Vanquish was a 6 hour action romp for me and way better then what a 15 hour action game could deliver *let's use Lords of Shadow for an example of that*. I'd rather Rising be some of the best 5+ hours of action then 10+ hours of going on for too long, I'm also assuming it only counts in game time, most games do.
So let's assume with deaths this game is at least 6-8 hours. Action games aren't meant to be long, drawn out things. Can't believe so many people are upset by this. Ya I'm with this guy. Since when are action titles like epically long? Even the longer ones rarely clock in at over more then a dozen hours. You rack up game time in these games playing through more then once to get better scores, unlock bonuses etc. I played through NG1 multiple times and probably racked in 20-30 hours on that game but the campaign itself isn't longer then 5-6. If this was an RPG I'd be fuming but as an action game that seems about right. Heck anyone play a game called zone of enders? the second one was like 5 hours on it's first playthrough and you could clear the game in new game plus in under 2. I noticed it...the fact that they count Alerts tells me that it may truly be possible to do a No Alert run (excluding mandatory ones of course like past games)...i know that they had mentioned this before but I dont recall if they flat out said that you could indeed do a No Alert run but rather only implied it --- Chapter 7, that's all you need to say to a Valkyria fan, they'll know what you mean-Celestial Damnation (see quote) |
JMartinhoPosted 2/11/2013 3:35:55 AM | This really looks like the end of a chapter, not the whole game.
First of all, he did die 59 times so that explains the time spent. Also, if he died that many times, it means the enemies respawned 59 times, therefore his kill count will increase to high numbers aswell (400's in this case).
Take a look at the background, it looks like the game just faded a bit from a cutscene or anything and shown you the result. Now this is just my opinion, but if that's how they present you the total result for the whole game, then it was done poorly.
So this leads me to believe it's just an Act. I could be wrong though, but it makes sense to me :P --- 360 Gamertag: xAkamanah |

So this leads me to believe it's just an Act. I could be wrong though, but it makes sense to me :P Perhaps. But I find it strange that this Act would end with some Cyborg facing the camera (although that'd be strange to end with for ANY game). Doesn't quite look like Raiden either. Considering what we know of the first act, this seems like it shouldn't be the first act, but it also doesn't fit as the end of the game. This whole photo is so strange... |
