The thing with MGRR, at least from what I've read, is that the completion time is your fastest gameplay time (without any cutscenes). Bayonetta is like this also, so you can easily get a time score of 3 hours (and you actually need to to unlock something).

The thing is with Bayonetta, there were Alfheim portals, new difficulties, a bonus boss, playing as Jeanne... I've spent many hours playing that game, well after I'd already completed the story.

Action games like this are not the kind you spent dozens of hours getting to the end like RPGs. Speed runs are encouraged, and getting the top score of each chapter/section as well and challenging your skills on intense difficulties. I really doubt MGRR has absolutely nothing else to do beyond the 6 hour campaign. If you don't expect to play a game beyond the initial campaign then you must have a small attention span, or these kind of games aren't for you.

That's just my 2 cents.

Edit: Oh and Platinum's other game, Vanquish, is about 5-6 hours long.

How can you possibly count time on a game when you cut out cutscenes and extra stuff? That's like saying Dragon's Dogma is less than an hour lol. So then Skyrim should be counted as well if you just blow through the story quests lol.

Prince of persia
Jak and Daxter
Last Rebellion

Those were pretty short. If you weren't playing them for a platinum Prince of persia and Last Rebellion were definitely about 5 hours. Jak and Daxter could be platinumed in 5 hours. The other two 10 hours to plat.
