is this game canon?

The game makes a parody of every thing that MGS took, so seriously. The senator having magic powers being hand waved with NANO MACHINES SON! His bizarre political motivation mocking Liquids, Ocelots, and Volgins motivations from past games. Raidens side kick being a parody of the over philosophical elements that pervaded the previous games. Literally the entire games plot is a mockery, and well delivered one to. So considering as a Cannon entry into the story line doesn't really hold much water as far as I am concerned.

Sweet christ, shut up. This isn't Metal Gear Solid.

Also, Metal Gear Solid, in case anyone needed a refresher, had Hornet Man and a GHOST.

The rest is your 60 points of IQ trying to sound smart. I'll do without correcting you.

It can be considered an alternate universe, but one that maintains the continuity of the main plot. It has a lot of issues with it, such as "Why is Raiden working with a PMC after he promised Rose he would never leave her again?" but if you consider it a reworking of the character that keeps familiar elements while discarding the development he went through during MGS4, it still makes enough sense to be canon in its own continuity.

what this dude said. Ive read a couple interviews where Kojima says this.

If you look at the story of MGR, it explains what happened since MGS4. Invalidated.

Parodying and fourth wall breaking = non-canon?

Guess MGS4 was non-canon.

You mean the fact that you interpret Kojima's words as him saying it's not canon.

Unless you can provide an interview with him saying the exact words "MGR" "canon" and some variation of "not" in the same sentence.

Its an alternate future that takes place after MGS4. How do you invalidate that. Kojima Has stated so in several interviews. Invalidate that know it all.
