They only had one years to make it. They picked up the project in December 2011. They said they wished they had more time but Kojima kept them on the tight schedule. They were no hard feels though.

My respect for Platinum Games just when up a little. To make a game like this in a year or so is pretty impressive. Other than the camera angles going all over the place every now and then, this game runs very smoothly. Better than some other games I've played that have been in development for much longer.

Gotta remember that half the work on this game was already done before they nabbed it.
Blade Mode? Konami
Boss designs? Konami
Basic enemies? Konami
Story? Konami (Oddly enough)

All Platinum had to do was make the levels, make sure Blade Mode didn't crash your console, enemy AI, and difficulty changes, among other small things.
Not trying to hate though, but atleast a good half of the game was already done for them.
You also gotta factor in that they had to convert MGSRs assets to their in-house engine too.

Yes in that one year they had to create the combat system, boss fights, cut scenes, codecs, level design, all dialog, debug, etc. So they didn't have any time to build and other new matrial like more levels and more bosses. The game wasn't as great as it could of been but it is understandable why. If they had another year then this game could of easily had 17 chapters like bayonetta (Some were revisits). With the time kojimas team wasted and next gen right around the corner, it was either finish it now, start from scratch on next , or scrap the game completely.

QFT. You realize Quinton Flynn didn't even record dialogue for this game until 2012? That was how far behind the project was until Platinum took over.

I would not have picked it apart if he wouldn't have said "fact[s]" in the title and then listed a bunch of opinions. Then, reworded his opinions into "facts" when he contested my post.

You do realise I didn't make this topic right?

Eh... I don't care I didn't bother responding to that post pretty much for the reasons Azure stated.

I WAS referring to TC. Not you.

Okay, you were quoting my post so I assumed it was aimed at me.

Final boss was a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. out of place mechanics (super saiyan bursts?!!?!?) and an enemy that just had no flaire or style suitable to the techno theme.

^Look, it's simple. I disagree with pretty much everything he said because they were opinions. You can't disagree with facts. I disagree with you too. Least I know these are opinions of mine and not facts of reality. It's as simple as that. Disagree with me all you want. Not gonna change my opinion. I love this game. Call me a fanboy if you want, but I'll proudly stick up for it when someone thinks they're laying down facts that are opinions.

Just because someone thinks the facts are wrong It doesn't turn them into opinion. You were incapable of showing how my arguments were wrong, thus you're just sticking to your opinion because you're too immature to admit you're wrong.

This. The fact that he appeared out of nowhere also made him feel less epic. I really wish Sam was the final boss... but ya know, make It a more epic/longer battle.

I agree there are a few gameplay flaws but the rest is pure savage.

Is savage the new hip word for "awesome"? Or are we saying it in its literal definition.
I can't keep up with the kids these days, lol.
