I wouldn't exactly say it was rushed...at least in a overally negative way. P* didn't have a lot of time with the game so they focused on making sure the gameplay was polished. Clearly the game would've benefited from more time because it isn't very long but at least it feels fairly complete with lots of unlockables and extras. I don't get where people are getting that the levels are bland and boring or lacking art direction. There's not a lot of color or theme variety I guess. And I really don't get when you mean by no art direction the game looks a lot like past MGS games and some areas are really nice looking like Denver and the Japanese Garden. The actual final boss fight was awesome but the politician on steroids is kinda lame if not amusingly comical. Also I stopped unlocking moves in Chapter 5 which is basically the very last half of the game. But yeah the game clearly needs a sequel. --- http://billysan291.deviantart.com/ PSN: Billysan291
Fatboy2020 posted... Can anyone actually say that the final boss was not a savage? I actually enjoyed the last boss. As outlandish as it is that you're litterally fighting goku/superman. The patterns were brutal but satisfying once learned. Plus there were some hilarious/badass scenes before the actual fight that got the testosterone flowing. I was entertained. --- PSN ID: LionHeartX83/ MH3: Epsilon --Avid Starhawk fan and proud PS Vita owner--

Yikes this is soooo frigging wrong. They had to start from scratch because P* wanted to use their own engine lol. Boss designs where by P* the original boss concepts from Konami where rejected by P*. There's only a few actual enemies designs from Konami. --- http://billysan291.deviantart.com/ PSN: Billysan291
-the final boss is IMO so un-creative. Really? I don't recall seeing a whacky over-the-top politician on steroids in....well anything. Cept this. That's like the opposite of uncreative. --- Want to watch a fat redneck do stupid crap? I do it for free. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7zTheJ1EQw

I disagree with you too. Least I know these are opinions of mine and not facts of reality. It's as simple as that. Disagree with me all you want. Not gonna change my opinion. I love this game. Call me a fanboy if you want, but I'll proudly stick up for it when someone thinks they're laying down facts that are opinions. You said you disagree with what I said, just that. If you disagreed about Earth having gravity, would that make gravity not real and just something physicists think this planet have? Disagreeing with an fact won't turn it into a opinion, thus, saying you disagree with something won't turn It any less real, unless of course, you have decent arguments to back It up.
SAO_Southerner posted... -the final boss is IMO so un-creative. There is a big difference between being original and creative. Sure, It was original, you won't find a over-the-top politician on steroids on any other game, but It wasn't creative, It's the kind of boss battle that you just go: "final boss k". Not sure If I should blame It on the game though, It's a genre kind of thing. HnS are too short to build the hype for the final boss. RPGs tend to be longer thus have more time to develop the final boss, allowing the final battle to be more epic and creative.

From what I see you are arguing over pacing which makes it opinion. It would be more like saying I think Canada is too cold which is subjective. The gravity analogy doesn't work. --- screw internet punctuation/spelling/grammar you know what it means so dont tell me how to fix it
DaAzureGrimoire posted... Billysan posted...DaAzureGrimoire posted... And it's already been covered that I was wrong about the boss design situation. I had misread a Siliconera or Destructoid article about it. Thought it was a Konami artist that did the art. It's been covered. --- Formely: Hellfire-Bahamu |
