He did. But he found out that neither him or his team knew how to make a blade game. Hence why the called in P* Games to take the reins while they made the story.

when kojima was producing it, he thought it was so bad it should be cancelled.

if it wasnt for PG's outrageous attitude, this wouldnt have been made at all.
