Having a random metal gear show up seemed sorta rushed, like there wasnt any reason for it to be there but only because it was a game with "metal gear" in the title. Same goes for Armstrong, the boss fight was great, i loved the having to cut through several tons of ground thrown at you and how he was killed but it just seemed out of place. What does everyone think about the climax of the game?
Platinum only had a year and half to make the game, to me the only thing that feel rushed is level design, and of course the lenght of the game, is pretty short, combat is fantastic --- Nanomachines, son!
I thought the end just came out of nowhere, I would have liked it to be more developed. One minute your going through this hanger, next minute the BEST CHARACTER EVER shows up to INSTIGATE A WONDROUS SET OF AWESOME CUTSCENES .
So glad we agree!

I thought it was pretty awesome, all I can say. MG never really made any sense to me so this fit right into my view of the series.
Overall, Metal Gear's plot makes sense despite the retcons.. Which is weird because i swear kojima is making it up is it goes along. This game was pretty much half intentional parody and half seriousness, and it worked damn well. --- OOOH OOOH THAT'S MY FAVORITE!
While I agree it was somewhat rushed I still enjoyed the final boss. I didn't think it was to over the top. --- Intel Core i7 3770, 120 GB Mushikin SSD, 1 TB WD HDD, Nvidia GTX 680, Dual Monitor, CM Storm Trooper Case, Asus P8Z77 Mobo
Eh, listening to the codecs up to the Metal Gear fight definitely leads up to it well enough. I think the problem is that all the lead-up really is left to the optional codecs instead of in cutscenes. --- Come see my game collection: http://www.backloggery.com/bakonbitz
