You Don't Run from Chance question

So, one thing I've been wondering:

When you get the tiangle+circle execution prompt on an enemy, you do your prompt-attack and then it gives you a chance for a zandatsu. For the trophy, does it matter if you take that zandatsu, or do you need to just let the execution play out without doing any blade mode shenanigans?

(As I've already got the 50 zandatsu trophy, if that overrides the execution count, I'd just be wasting time. But if it doesn't matter, well, who am I too pass up some nice, juicy electrolytes?)

As far as I'm aware you can just let the execution play out without using blade mode.

I'm quite sure it doesn't matter.

I got the 50 execution trophy and I ALWAYS Zandatsu.
