How to increase your FPS and solve micro stuttering.

Turn off Ambient Occlusion in your video settings, and that should solve everything. I have a gtx 470 and i was just barely pulling 60 FPS on Medium. Turned off Abient Occlusion and now I can get a full 60+ on high with AA. It also solved my micro stutter.

1. that is not microstutter. Microstutter is a small stutter that's barely noticeable and it's from SLI setups.

2. You are describing low framerate, which isn't actually stuttering, it's just low FPS.

3. The ACTUAL stuttering issue is from nvidia drivers. My cards get solid 60fps but stuttering occurs (fraps still reads 60fps). This is a driver issue and has nothing to do with game settings as the old drivers don't get the stuttering but have other issues.

Thank you for the microstutter clarification. However, turning off Ambient Occlusion will still get rid of whatever stutter there is.

Just to clarify, I know the difference between low FPS and stutter. They are VERY different things. Ambient Occlusion is the cause of SUTTER and LOW FPS.

You didn't though as you not only defined it incorrectly in your OP but then said thank you on the correction.

Turn off motion blur, get extra 5 fps.

Ambient Occlusion is a lighting effect, but it's pretty taxing.
