I know, every manual should at least last through one trip to the pooper. It's a piece of paper, not a manual.

Manuals are pretty unnecessary and game companies are starting to realize that. I, for one, am glad. If you don't know how to put the disc in and figure out what buttons do what, you probably shouldn't be playing games.

I don't like it. Ever since I was a little lad, it has been tradition to read a crisp new game manual while on the crapper ESPECIALLY with fighting games so I was able to memorize the new moves in SFII: Champion Edition and whatnot. More and more devs are adopting this "No Manual" nonsense - EA started it with including manuals that were 6 pages long and I believe I read EA officially did away with manuals altogether starting with Fight Night Champion.

Yet you still pay the same as for a game without the manual that should charge you for the print...

Stock prices will rise with profitability. :)

Manuals are just fun, especially for fighting games, combos and story stuff... it is not mandatory, but adds to the packaging value.

Of course with the soaring of cloud computing, physical media is becoming less desirable.

A cheap ploy to try and make you buy the 150 dollar special edition.
