How do I use the lilypad seed?

#1janbiv2Posted 11/20/2010 8:49:41 AM
I press A when standing by a river and the lily pad forms on land, I get on but still can't cross. Am I supposed to toss it into the water? Since u can only use it once a day I haven't been able to experiment with it much and I really have no idea how to use it

You can only cross onto water on a sandy shore/other place specifically marked out for this purpose.

You can't just enter/exit the water anywhere you like.

Best solution is to buy 'Water Shoes'. Don't have to worry about having those pesky seeds. Sold randomly in Blacksmith's Shop or from Yue.

Walk over the lily to stand/ride on it, then go down to the water.

You can't enter the river at any point. Only points that descend into the river. It's like needing to use stairs to go down a floor.

In Vale River, there's a sign post to the right of the save point near the entrance, that mentions how you can't walk on the river. Right next to that signpost is where you can enter the river on your lilypad.

And the lilypad lasts for as long as you don't put it back into your rucksack. So if you want to try it somewhere else, just pick it up and run there.

Or you can just ride the lilypad everywhere by walking over it. It moves on land, too, and it's actually really nice if you've been paralyzed and don't have the Mediparylize spell yet.

Para-gone is very easy to make. :P
You know you're running out of ideas when one of them is a badly drawn face on a badly drawn purple cloud, attached to what appears to be a coaster.

Ah, but that also requires finding it and pulling it out, then eating it, which doesn't work very well against the Chimera
