it deserve these scores. evn tho the graphics are not on par with what the pps33 is capable of but the game looks nice. i love the flamboyant colors in the game and the action looks col too. i cant wait for this game.

How generous...

I will be surprised if the US reviews give it anything close to 9.0.

^ this

You know what's sad though? I bet the new Samurai Warriors will actually get close to a 9.0 in the US. For whatever reason, people seem to prefer that over Basara in the States. Still haven't figured out why, but meh.

Dengeki actually gave SB3 some pretty good numbers too, iirc. It was:

75-90-80-80

That's pretty good, considering the hate people are giving it for the graphics not being, "on par" with a PS3 title. Regardless of the ratings though, I am definitely looking forward to it. Only ONE week to go till release!

SW2XL and Empires are still better than the Basara games, since they are more than just hack'n'slash.

Basara 3 looks to play very similar to Ninety-Nine Nights II. Linear maps with tons of peons to kill using attacks to chain combos with thousands of hits. N3II was fun and flashy, but it was slaughtered in the reviews anyway...

I don't see Basara 3 being highly praised in the US, but it should be a fun game.

You've never actually played Basara, have you.

He was a weak man with little power who fought for the ones he loved...
He died, and in the end he was still a loser.

Yes, I have played both Basara and N3II.

Here's videos if you don't understand...

Both games contain very linear maps with tons of enemies and very little strategy elements.

With the SW games, there is tactical strategy involved with the combat
You also move around the map, rather than follow it from one side to the other.
