Which versions?

My friend keeps bragging about how great Persona 3 is that he forced me to play it. First play....

Loved it.

Question: Which version is the superior one? The PS2 ver. or the PSP ver?

I can get which ever one since I own both systems but I just want to know which hard copy I should get?

Persona 3 portable is a direct upgrade of Persona 3 and Persona 3: FES.

There's only a few things missing but mainly aesthetics and a horrible to play epilogue that can be looked up on youtube.

I'd say that P3FES is the better version simply because I like actually being able to walk around and explore the world and I love both the anime and model cutscenes.

P3P
Streamlined interface
Navigation shortcuts
Direct control in combat
Female route

FES
3D environments
3D cutscenes
Anime FMVs
Epilogue

Go P3P if you prefer better gameplay. Go FES if you prefer better graphics.

I do enjoy anime FMV's. But I'm more into the gameplay aspect. Dammit looks like I might have to pick up both

You can essentially play them like separate games. P3:FES first, and then P3P choose the female MC. It changes/adds social links and some events up a bit. Plus, with the added gameplay features it will feel kind of like a new game.
