I'd have to agree with you GS2k. I prefer the Elder Scrolls universe over the post-apocalyptic scorched earth look. The only problem is that I'm used to VATS and when I play Oblivion now, I keep hitting that button when I go into combat!
TES: Arena - 5/10 (this one has really aged poorly) TES: Daggerfall - 10/10 (amazing game. If it was remade with better graphics and a few bug fixes, it would be the best game of all time. HUGE game though. I've been playing since I was little, and still haven't seen everything) TES: Morrowind - 9/10 (a bunch of features were removed, and the world was a lot smaller, but the updated graphics were worth it, because TES 2 does look really bad) TES: Oblivion - 4/10 (way too many features removed, world is too small and repetitive. Broken leveling system, too much focus on main quest) Fallout 3 - 10/10 (This game still amazes me every time I put it in. The ONLY flaw is that the level cap is too low. Even 30 levels just aren't enough).

"Disagree. TES games have been getting worse in each installment since TES 2." Maybe you are right, because I ve never played the other TES games (except Morrowind)... Morrowind was quite good, but there was no survey of all active quests, and in my opinion, that was quite annoying..and no decent maps.. maybe that's what people call "a real RPG" , cuz you have to search yourself..
Elder scrolls is about on the same page as Fallout 3, different time periods, but there made by the same person. They just tweaked Fallout 3 (other then the huge time period) and made it with guns instead of bows, and clubs instead of clubs.....lol.
