And after it happens it stays in all other menus. It does go away if I start playing, and the game seems to work fine, but if I try to Alt+Tab the game while the screen is messed up, it gives me this error:
"The D3D device has a non-zero count, meaning some objects were not released"
I'm also having the same kind of problem. Frustrating.
My specs are:
OS Windows XP SP3 AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ 2.61ghz 2.5 Gigs of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT Drivers are indeed up-to-date.
However, as I tried to install WIndows media player 10 (which came from the CD), a message came up saying my OS was incompatible with Wind Media Player 10. I seriously doubt that would be the cause of the problem.
