How to utilize any class playable this game has to offer

Since there are new players around and I have seen a lot of people asking what class to use and how to play it effectively, I thought I'd open up a topic about it.

In this topic I'll explain what the advantages and disadvantages are for every class and also what skills are a must-have and are frequently used.

Let it be noted that the information in this topic are suggestions and recommendations of what skills are best to use. Every skill listed is to inform you of the best possible skills available and about their usefulness. Let it also be noted that the information displayed are gathered from experiences from all players who are around for a longer time in WKC2.


IN GENERAL

Divine Skills are must haves for every class. The following skills are the most useful (some can be dropped, those marked bold are applied for every class):

- Fate’s Favour
to have you or a ally nullified for any physical attack once

- Angel’s Favour
to have you or a ally nullified for any magic attack once

- Heal (up to IV)
to heal yourself or other party members

- +Heal (up to IV)
to heal yourself and also nearby party members

- Raise
to help regain an fallen ally’s health up to a quarter of their maxed HP

- Raise II
to help regain an fallen ally’s health up their maxed HP

- Refresh
to cure yourself or an ally from almost any status ailment

- +Haste
to have you and nearby allies act quicker

- +Fortify
to have you and nearby allies’ DEF raised

- +Mana Barrier
to have your and nearby allies’ RES raised

- Fatigue
to have an enemies’ ATK lowered

- Mollify
to have an enemies’ DEF lowered

- Slow
to have an enemies’ actions slowed down

- Silence
to stop an enemy from using magic spells or see an Elemental blow itself up

- Holy Light
to instantly kill a downed Skeleton or to remove a Succubi and Wraith’s shield


When not playing online it is advised to be able to heal yourself when needed. NPC's can take care of it too, but as NPC's can be unpredictable sometimes and if you are the only survivor in a battle, you will need to be able to at least heal yourself.

Pro’s:
+ The best damage dealing class which can eventually do 9999 damage with the move Crowd Control with the right supporting players around,
+ It is the only class which can raise the ATK stat for you and all nearby allies with +Rallying Cry,
+ Strong Strike attacks and Strike Area of Effect attacks,
+ Strong Slash attacks and Slash Area of Effect attacks,
+ Does even more damage at low HP due to the skill Final Stand,

Cons
- A weak class without good support to regenerate MP and cast Fate’s Favour
- No MP steals or replenish skills
- Slow in terms of turns compared to other classes
- Weak Thrust attacks

MUST HAVE SKILLS

- Shatter
to deal Strike damage without having to waste MP

- Nightmare
is best suited for enemies who are weak to Strike and to deal heavy damage

- +Detonator
is suited for multiple enemies who are lined up (Strike)

- +Aftermath
is suited for multiple enemies who are gathered in a group at the cost of 2 AC (Strike)

- Soulscratcher
is suited for advanced players who manually lower their HP to boost their strength after obtaining the skill Final Stand (Strike)

- Crowd Control
is best utilized when focused on one monster for a long duration (Strike)

- Blind Swing
The best way to use this skill is to wait until a boss (Golem, Dragon, etc.) is staggered. Not only will Blind Swing not miss, it also has a high critical hit rate at that stage and can do tremendous damage. Once the boss gets up from the stagger, wait for a while until the next stagger appears and use Blind Swing again.

to deal Thrust damage with the expense of 4 MP

- Thunder Jolt
an Air attack suited for enemies who are weak to Thrust and to Stagger or Break heads

- Arm Shatter
a Debuff attack to lower an enemy’s ATK

- Armour Shatter
a Debuff attack to lower an enemy’s DEF

- +Rallying Cry
a Buff skill to raise your and nearby allies’ ATK

- War Cry
a Buff skill to raise your ATK at the cost of lowering your DEF

- Divine skills (Buffs):
Fate's Favour! (Angel's Favour), Heal III, +Heal II, Raise (Raise II), +Haste, +Fortify, +Mana Barrier, Slow

BOW

Pro’s:
+ A long distance class which makes you survive throughout the battle a lot better,
+ Combine the moves Dark Shot and Conceal to up your chances to survive by evading almost any incoming attack and also serve as a decoy when encountering multiple enemies,
+ Stun tip is also good to separate multiple enemies from each other and to stop them in their actions,
+ Action Chips can be regained quickly thanks to the Focus skill,
+ Spirit's Hymn has the ability to replenish your own, but also other players' MP with the cost of just 1 Action Chip,
+ One of the two classes that can manually aim for a specific body part before attacking,
+ Strong Thrust and Strike attacks
+ Fast in terms of turns if you are wearing some Light or Medium equipment combined with Heavy equipment,
+ Also fast in terms of turns while wearing only Heavy equipment, leaving your character with a Moderate burden

Cons
- Weak Slash attacks,
- Eventually not the best heavy damage dealer

MUST HAVE SKILLS

- Sting
will help you gain AC quickly without having to waste MP (Thrust)

- Angel's Wing
is suited for enemies who are weak to Slash and when you are low on MP

- Burst Tip
is best suited for enemies who are weak to Strike

- Triple Nock
is best suited for enemies who are weak to Thrust (a better alternative than Angel's Wing)

- +Pierce
is suited for multiple enemies who are lined up (Thrust)

- +Judgment
is suited for multiple enemies who are gathered in a group (Thrust)

- Dark Shot
will lower an enemies’ accuracy

- Conceal
is best combined with Dark Shot to evade almost every attack

- +Hurricane Song
will have all nearby allies and you have the effect of Haste

- Stun Tip
is used to paralyze foes who are weak to this status effect to stop them in their actions

- Spirit's Hymn
can replenish your or a ally's MP at the cost of 1 AC

- Angel's Hymn
can replenish a fallen ally’s HP to a quarter of their maxed HP at the cost of 1 AC

- Bolt Tripler
will increase the possibility to do three times more damage in one attack

- Medical Expertise
will increase the efficacy of HP recover items used

- Magical Expertise
will increase the efficacy of MP recover items used

- Explosive Expertise
will increase the efficacy of attack items used

- Divine skills:
Fate's Favour! (Angel's Favour), Heal IV, +Heal III, Raise (Raise II), +Fortify, +Mana Barrier, Fatigue, Mollify, Slow

MAGE (STAFF combined with Divine and Elemental)

Pro’s:
+ Great damage dealers at the beginning of the game for a very long time, while exploiting enemies’ elemental weaknesses,
+ Thanks to the Staff’s Elemental- & Divine Prowess skills all Divine and Elemental skills will be cast at a quicker rate and have their MP cost reduced,
+ Add Spirit Lore from the Elemental tree and Divine Lore from the Divine tree to further reduce MP cost for the respective skills,
+ Can replenish their own and also allies’ MP with +Spirit’s Blessing at the cost of 3 AC,
+ Can also replenish their own MP by stealing it from enemies with the skill Mana Parasite at the cost of 1 AC,
+ Can raise their own and allies’ Elemental RES with a Area of Effect Skill called +Fire Shield and other Elementals respectively,
+ Can also evade incoming physical attacks with the help of the skill Stealth Magic at the cost of 1 AC

Cons
- Later on in the game the enemies do not always have Elemental weaknesses, or they even resist them all, thus rendering Mages incapable of dealing heavy damage,
- The two available non-Elemental spells are a joke (at the moment), as you have to waste MP and also AC to deal only average damage,
- Does not excel in any physical way, leaving Staff Strike to be the best way to gain AC without having to waste MP

MUST HAVE SKILLS (damage dealing)

- Staff Strike
to deal a bit of Strike damage without having to waste MP, mainly focusing to replenish AC

- Holy Light
to instantly kill a downed Skeleton or to remove Succubi and Wraith’s shield

- Dragonfire
to deal a large amount of Fire damage at the cost of 20 MP

- Icebreaker
to deal a large amount of Water damage at the cost of 20 MP

- Lightning Bolt
to deal a large amount of Wind damage at the cost of 20 MP

- Rock Skewer
to deal a large amount of Earth damage at the cost of 20 MP

- +Eruption
to deal a decent amount of Fire damage at the cost of 29 MP to a group of enemies

- +Blizzard
to deal a decent amount of Ice damage at the cost of 29 MP to a group of enemies

- +Hurricane
to deal a decent amount of Wind damage at the cost of 29 MP to a group of enemies

- +Comet
to deal a decent amount of Earth damage at the cost of 29 MP to a group of enemies

SWORD (Short Sword & Swordmage)

Pro’s:
+ The ‘Jack-of-all-trades’ which has good Slash, Thrust, but also Strike attacks (excels more in Slash),
+ Also suitable to use Elemental magic in combination with a Short Sword,
+ Not only does Twin Blades look cool, it also raises ATK at the cost of replacing your shield for a duplicate of your current holding Sword,
+ Twin Blades also have their own additional moves called Twin Charge, Twin Edge, +Twin Aura, +Twin Flame and +Twin Storm,
+ It has stances to raise ATK at the cost of lowering DEF and the other way around…
+ …but also stances to raise MAG at the cost of lowering RES and the other way around, suites for attacking or as a Swordmage respectively,
+ It has built-in Debuffs that lower an enemy’s ATK and DEF with the skills Arm Breaker and Shield Breaker,
+ It can also replenish its own MP using the move Mana Leech while leeching it from foes,
+ It is possible to Tank with this class while wearing Heavy equipment and holding a Shield

Cons
- As it is a Jack-of-all-trades there are other classes that excel better in whatever role a Sword user takes in,
- Casting Elemental magic will take a while compared to how fast Mages can cast it,
- Casting Elemental magic will also use up more MP compared to what Mages spend on it,
- Some moves’ animations are long
- Not the best heavy damage dealers over-all

MUST HAVE SKILLS

- Any Elemental Magic
equip any Elemental Magic spell best suited for whatever situation arises (Swordmage)

- Slash
to deal Slash damage without having to waste MP

- Furious Blade
is best suited for enemies who are weak to Slash and to deal heavy damage

- Downcast
an Air attack suited for enemies who are weak to Slash and to Stagger or Break heads

- Lunging Strike
to deal Strike damage without having to waste MP

- Raging Blade
is best suited for enemies who are weak to Strike and to deal heavy damage

- Downfall
an Air attack suited for enemies who are weak to Strike and to Stagger or Break heads

- Thrust
to deal Thrust damage without having to waste MP

- Assault Thrust
is best suited for enemies who are weak to Thrust and to deal heavy damage

- Sonic Shock
a long distance attack best suited for enemies who are weak to Slash

- Arm Breaker
a Debuff attack to lower an enemy’s ATK

- Shield Breaker
a Debuff attack to lower an enemy’s DEF

- Daredevil Stance

LONGSWORD

Pro’s:
+ A fairly well DPS class (but easily outclassed by Axe (unfortunately) in terms of raw, heavy damage),
+ A good Debuff attack to lower an enemy’s actions called Anchor Blade,
+ Also two other Debuff attacks to lower an enemy’s MAG and RES with Magic Breaker and Spirit Breaker,
+ It can massively raise its own ATK at the cost of lowering DEF with Demon’s Aura,
+ As a Longsword user’s HP drops, it’s speed rises with the skill Adrenaline Rush,
+ Two fairly good long-distance attacks called Void Storm and Streak Rush,
+ Strong Slash attacks,
+ Strong Thrust attacks

Cons
- The animations of the stronger moves are long, which results in poor damage output compared to another DPS class over time,
- A weak class without good support to regenerate MP and cast Fate’s Favour
- No MP steals or replenish skills
- No good Area of Effect moves, as the animations for these moves also take a while and costs 2 AC (three types: +Void Crash and its two Elemental variations)
- It has no team Buffs
- The Debuffs are not efficient enough, fitting for a DPS class (except Anchor Blade in some cases)
- Slow in terms of turns compared to other classes
- Weak Strike attacks

MUST HAVE SKILLS

- Hack
to deal Slash damage without having to waste MP

- Deadly Fang
is best suited for enemies who are weak to Slash and to deal heavy damage (keep in mind that this attack has a very long, but cool-looking animation)

- Crackdown
an Air attack suited for enemies who are weak to Slash and to Stagger or Break heads
(or use Spinning Blaze for some more damage, but be warned of its Fire-Element)

- Run Through
to deal Thrust damage without having to waste MP

- Final Fang
is best suited for enemies who are weak to Thrust and to deal heavy damage

- Sparrowfall
an Air attack suited for enemies who are weak to Thrust and to Stagger or Break heads

- Grinder / Dragon Claw
to deal Strike damage with the cost of 4 MP

- Waterfall (Water-Element)
an Air attack best suited for enemies who are weak to Strike and to Stagger or Break heads
(a better alternative to Dragonfall, which is weaker and costs 4 MP)

- Void Storm
a long distance attack best suited for enemies who are weak to Slash

- Streak Rush
a long distance attack best suited for enemies who are weak to Slash
(also best utilized when at a long range)

- +Void Crash
is suited for multiple enemies who are gathered in a group at the cost of 2 AC (Slash)

- Anchor Blade
a Debuff attack to slow an enemy’s action down

- Magic Breaker
a Debuff attack to lower an enemy’s MAG

- Spirit Breaker
a Debuff attack to lower an enemy’s RES

- Demon’s Aura
a Buff skill to greatly raise ATK at the cost of lowering DEF

- Divine skills (Buffs):
Fate's Favour! (Angel's Favour), Heal III, +Heal III, Raise (Raise II), +Haste, +Fortify, +Mana Barrier

SPEAR

Pro’s:
+ An excellent Tank class as it has a great defense and can deal quite enough damage,
+ The Area of Effect Buff +Support Field has you and nearby allies raise DEF
+ The Area of Effect Buff +Full Shield has you and nearby allies protected from all damage when equipped with a shield,
+ A enemy group Debuff called +Inert Field will slow down a group’s actions,
+ The Guardian skill helps regenerate AC while taking hits,
+ Strong Thrust attacks,
+ Strong Slash attacks

Cons
- The role of a Tank will be replaced as soon as you can play quests which enable a player to Transform into a Knight, which renders Spear classes useless as Tanks,
- The damage this class deals can be considered poor over time,
- No MP steals or replenish skills
- Slow in terms of turns compared to other classes
- Weak Strike attacks

MUST HAVE SKILLS

- Chop
to deal Slash damage without having to waste MP

- Cross Lance
is best suited for enemies who are weak to Slash and to deal heavy damage

- Shooting Star
an Air attack suited for enemies who are weak to Slash and to Stagger or Break heads

- Impale
to deal Thrust damage without having to waste MP

- Omega Strike
is best suited for enemies who are weak to Thrust and to deal heavy damage

- Storm
an Air attack suited for enemies who are weak to Thrust and to Stagger or Break heads

- Shield Bash
to deal Strike damage without having to waste MP

- +Dauntless Charge
is suited for multiple enemies who are lined up (Thrust)

- +Tiger’s Rage
is suited for multiple enemies who are gathered in a group (Thrust)

- +Support Field
will have all nearby allies and you have DEF raised

- +Full Shield
will have all nearby allies and you resisting all types of attacks once with a shield equipped

- +Inert Field
a Debuff skill to lower a group of enemies’ actions

- Divine skills (Buffs):
Fate's Favour! (Angel's Favour), Heal III, +Heal III, Raise (Raise II), +Haste, +Fortify, +Mana Barrier
