gojisojiPosted 8/30/2011 4:50:57 PM | Ok so... I have just started this game after beating Y's 1-2 for the PsP and I gotta say its kinda a breath of fresh air.. but I really do miss the simple 'run in, attack, bounce off, repeat' process lol. also.. before I forget Im starting it out on the hardest difficulty... and I'm stuck at Gayla (sp) boss. I'm level 17, which I know, I know I should be a tad higher but after trying for 4 days (psp on standby while at work lol.) on the snake boss before it I was rather pumped when I defeated it.. now comes my question.. any advice? lol please don't say 'lower the difficulty, goji, it'll help a ton' because quite frankly.. that's not gonna happen ill level grind before I do that lol. any advice on tactics.. is there anything I'm missing regarding this boss and it's tile flippin' craziness? |
helldewPosted 8/31/2011 10:10:55 PM | wait a second dont you need to unlock inferno by beating the game?
if you haven't beaten the game at least once lower the difficulty.
reason why i say this is cause after you run though the game you get the ability to craft weapons to level 9 instead of 3 which is a HUGE difference in terms of your damage output and will lower the amount of grinding a LOT.
other wise with the boss which boss are you fighting? the ice dragon? the lava dragon or the flying fire guy(he flips the platforms and whatnot)? ive kinda played this game though enough times recently to pretty much be able to slap up any boss as long as im not brutally under leveled/geared, --- ErrorSupply 3-D DS -OMG! It's the ultimate anti-pirate tech O:. |
KuwagataHeroPosted 9/3/2011 1:55:13 PM (edited) | That said, it should be possible to complete Inferno without Clear Data. After all, that's what the Time Attack practically is. It has set stats, and none of the equipment is above level 3.
For Gyalva, there really is no way of guessing how he'll flip the tiles. To deal damage effectively, charge up your Ventus Bracelet, dodge his fireball, hope it pops up the floor you're standing on, and release your magic.
When he starts his flipping laser, run to the edge of the bridge. Hopefully it's not one that flips all of the tiles. If it is, just do your best to dodge the fireballs and lasers. When he swings close to your, use the Ventus Bracelet, and hopefully he'll flip the tiles again.
EDIT: The Time Attack set up for this fight is Level 18, Level 1 Broadsword, Level 3 Small Shield, and Level 3 Chain Mail, though considering you're stuck in the volcano, you probably can't change this if your set up is different.
It's going to be insanely hard, I hope you like pain. ;) --- If I'm being ignorant, please enlighten me. |
