How do you get past those little steam vents like in the GCPD building there are two of them stopping me from sliding under the door to get to the Morgue. And another stopping from from getting a trophy. Thanks for any help

When you see something you can't get past, it means you don't have all the gadgets yet, come back later.

You need the Freeze Grenade (the proper name of the gadget escapes me now, but you'd know what I mean if you have it).

You gotta throw freeze grenades at them. If you haven't unlocked them yet, play the game some more and you'll get 'em.

It's a gadget you get from Freeze close to the end of the game.
It's not the end of the world, but you can see it from here- Deus Ex: Human Revolution
