I can not glide thru those trials, it says to dive bomb and steady glide.
Is there some hint please?

Dive bomb then let go of R2 and pull back on the joystick. You'll level out and gain altitude if you keep pulling back.

Dive bomb, then pull down on the control stick, and release r2 and start gliding again.
You'll gain height.

It bothered me how it was never explained beforehand.
Was stuck there for a while, but it's very fun after you learn how.
You are now aware of your blinking.

Follow the blue line. Just glide when the line is straight and dive when the line dips. Once the line pulls back up, you let go of R2 to come out of the dive bomb and you'll be lifted back up naturally. Repeat as needed.

What am I doing wrong? I dive appropriately & glide again according to the blue line but I just get lower & never gain back altitude. Have I stumbled upon the most annoying part of the game? You know that one part of every game that no one likes & annoys the s*** out of people.....>:-(

After you let go of R2, you have to pull back up to gain height.

Pushing forward on the analog stick = pitch forward. Fall faster when in divebomb, glide more quickly and descent faster.

Pulling back on the analog stick = pull back. Pulls you upward when you come out of divebombing, glide more slowly and stay airborne longer.

maybe TC is failing because he doesn't use inverted controls and you guys are telling him backwards instructions?

It took me about 5 or 6 times to do the first portion, after you get it, it makes total sense.

Yeah, think of it as flying in Super Mario World when you have the yellow cape, dive bomb to gain speed then pull back to open the cape and catch some air

Anyone who doesn't use inverted flight controls deserves to fail.
