That's it. Hundreds die, one of Batman's greatest foes lies finally dead, Arkham City is devoid of any governing body while the thugs still alive inside now have access to enormous stores of weaponry and the Gotham police are understaffed, a scenario that will surely lead to a very dangerous situation arising.

You don't have to be a fan of Fallout, just a fan of a decent read.

I applaud Rocksteady for having the balls to kill off a major character. I hate shows/ movies/ games where the main characters are put through all sorts of desperate situations but always miraculously emerge unscathed and the villian always survives to fight another day.

In fact, its because of those shows/ movies/ games that the ending to Arkham City came as such a shock. One thing I worry about though is them bringing Joker back in a future game, thus completely disarming the impact of this game....please Rocksteady, leave him dead, you've made the decision, now work with it.

Sefton Hill was interviewed not too long ago, and one question that he was asked was "How is the Joker feeling?".  Sefton responded by simply stating "The Joker's dead".

yeah, well hes not going to fess up to the Joker still being alive if they were going to spring it on players in the next game. Not saying that they will, just saying that they wouldnt spoil the surprise.

Hopefully Sefton speaks the truth and it stays that way

It takes balls to kill off the Joker? Joker has died in every Batman series I've seen him in. Tim Burton, DCAU, and now this.

I liked the ending a lot. I thought it was perfect the way they left it off. I can't wait for the next game to come out already.

I think the next game would take place YEARS after the events of arkham city.

Seeing as how Harley Quinn is pregnant and all. Maybe the next story for the next game will feature his son/daughter? Maybe will even take up the mantle of being the next joker?

Rocksteady put a lot of secrets in the game to keep us guessing and I love them for that!
