I'm sure it isn't quite this high, but it seems like about 75% of the passes I throw when I'm playing online get intercepted. Any suggestions for what I might be doing wrong. Seems like I either hit a linebacker or have a safety jump and grab almost every throw of more than 2 - 3 yards....

stop throwing into 2 man packages or wait for when they break use pump fakes to stall line backers for passes accross the middle

take more time to throw to sure things

- go through your reads. Primary receiver, secondary receiver, if you have time alternate receiver, then your check down.

if nothing is open including your check down, run the ball, if you can't run throw the ball away.

You can decide who your primary receiver, secondary receiver, and alternate are before the play. But you might not have time for 3-4 reads if you're getting blitzed. It also depends on the route.

Its best to have a combination of different routes that you are comfortable throwing to. I would practice the timing of different routes and see what works for you.

Unlike in 2010, in 2011 the comeback routes work really well for instance. You can also lead receivers a lot better now on deeper routes. Try putting the ball where only your receiver can get it, if he doesn't catch it make sure its an incomplete pass.

Learn to tell the difference between zone and man coverage. This is the NFL, if the defense is in Man coverage and your guy has a step on him that's all you need. If the defense is playing a zone you can either go underneath it and let your guy get what he can which frequently on a zone play is at least 5-6 yards, plenty enough for you to work the ball down the field slowly or if you have time you can let your recievers get down the field a bit and find some "holes" in the zone and burn them deep. The only thing about option #2 is online you will rarely have that kind of time.
