Has anyone's Hawke slowed down in his animations and cast times? I'm in year 7 where as a mage my Hawke single auto attack is slow enough to have merril and anders fire off 3 auto attacks in the same time. His casting is now so slow he looks like hes moving underwater, leaving him vulerable the whole time. I reloaded to my game in the deep roads and hes way faster there. Is there a known cause to this bug?

I am getting the same thing, but in year 4. It doesn't seem to be related to a specific moment. I can load an older game and it fixes it, but it is 3 hours behind my current one so I have yet to know if that is a fix or if it will just trigger it later.

Did you use a mage as well? I saw on the bioware forums there was a person who looks like he hit the glitch after a single fight. I think in my case it happened gradually, so that I didn't really notice it till I fought the duel in the last fight of Act 2. Maybe its something to do with the haste spell messing up the timing of the caster?

I am using a warrior and none of my mages can cast haste. I really haven't got a clue as to how it happened, but in an hour or so I will load an old save and see how it goes.

Do you have the immovable trait on Aveline? I am seeing some slowing down followed by speeding up when fighting near her. It's not permanent like in the other save. Removing her there does nothing.

I do have immovable on Aveline, but that skill shouldn't affect Hawke.

I guess that is what would make it a bug. The only other skill that affects my speed is reaver's fervor, and I guess as a mage, you can't get that specialization.

I loaded a game that was horridly slow and it improved when having Aveline in the party. It could easily be something else, but I don't know what else our characters have in common.

My Hawke is a rouge and the slow animation make it unplayable. The other party members' animation are fine.

There are only 2 threads about this that I have found through google. It looks like it will be a while before it gets noticed and fixed.

I can continue to play it now, since it's slow but not as bad as it once was. I suggest making your Hawke all tank, if possible :p

PS: You could also spam about this problem elsewhere.

Ugh, is this a bug?
I thought it was just a result of me pumping my Hawke's STR stat too far without training his other stats so he got slow like Ultra Super Saiyan Trunks.
