really dude...all you have to do is google him...

but he is an author of many military/espionage themed books...he was/is so good at writing detailed military material, with believable stories based on real life events..they made movies out of some of his books (The Hunt for Red October)

In the early 2000's he began working with ubisoft to lend his talents to the stories and authenticity of rainbow 6 ghost recon and splintercell.

You how most people get ex/current operators to oversee their games. TC wrote the stories, and okay'd a lot of the concepts...

well in 2008 Tom Clancy sold his name to Ubisoft...and has nothing to do with the games.

Thats why the stories are convoluted messes with no reference to time or authenticity now
