This. It's what all the Nu players(who didn't switch to someone else) did, Rachel players need to not only follow the example, but go a few steps further.

God I love you winterlord >_>
Except Lambda's viable in high level play. Solid mid tier comparison to lol tier.
Still, you can win with Rachel... just get used to the fact that you have to work twice as hard as your opponent. So even if they're noticeably worse than you, the match will still be close.
But, at least it's not like Guilty Gear. It's second installment. Chances are if we ***** enough, she'll be better next game... which if they follow CS will be this winter. Or we could go the Litchi route and not play Rachel during loketest so they don't know what to nerf and they'll give her accidental buffs.
If you like Rachel, you should still play her. It's not 100% hopeless. I mean heck, last night Jais' Noel knocked Veteru into losers. And on the bright side, it gives you a lot of practice in blocking and learning to deal with stupid match ups.
Still... it is sad in some respect. I want to see Rachel at EVO/SBO, but that doesn't look like it'll happen. Even if you're really solid, but Rachel as a character is very noticeably gimped... she's not really viable at high level play if you want to win. There's too many lop-sided match ups for her.
GT: Bohemian Polka
BB CS: Main- Rachel Sub: Arakune
Even though I'm not a CT Rachel player, even I can see that Arcsys went way too far with Rachel's much needed nerfs. I do hope that they buff her so that she's at least viable. With only 14 characters, all the characters should at least be tourney viable. The point of an update is to improve the admittedly bad balance of CT.
Take comfort in that CT Tager was a lot worse and that Johnny's nerfs in AC are a lot worse in comparison than Rachel's nerfs, as Johnny was made virtually unplayable.
If you were expecting a meaningful signature, then you'll be horribly disappointed.

Johnny isn't CT Tager here now.
Wake up in the morning feeling like Jaedong ...
What's so bad about her though? Am I missing something? I see that she can zone and has a good keep-away game. But when she has wind and heat, she can get up close and do very damaging combos. CT Rachel could do both at the same time. But to me, CS Rachel seems to make the player decide what to do in certain situations instead of having all of her advantages at every location and time. It's similar to how Hakumen can do the most damaging combos in the game if he waits to get Magamata. But he can also just use it whenever he has some available to do smaller, less damaging combos. Rachel and Hakumen can both control the pace of the match to get what they need to do those combos, but it's the player's choice if they want to do that or not. That's how I see it. I don't see how she's not tournament viable. I don't see anyone outright destroying her unless she's in a bad position like Bang being in her face. But that's what she's trying to avoid and that's what Bang is trying to do. And that Rachel needs to try twice as hard as the opponent is BS. Both players try just as hard in good matches.
