I used Pokemon Selector to send a 5th gen Pokemon to my game. The only option for 5th gen Pokemon are Japanese. Does this just mean Japanese names, or does it also count as a Japanese Pokemon?

Just the name, I tried it and I didn't get the little j next to the pokemon in the pokedex. So it's just the name.

To fix the name, say you want a Excadrill. Just get a drilbur with the same moveset and level and make it hold a rare candy. Once the pokemon will evolve its name will revert to the English one. I don' t think it counts as a foreign pokemon though.

Alright, I tried to get a Japanese Deino into my game, but for some reason, the "J" doesn't show up in the Pokedex. I have the Deino set as Japanese, but apparently the game doesn't recognize it as such. I then tried a Ditto, and the "J" showed up. Any idea what the problem could be?

I used Pokegen and ir-gts for this, by the way.
