For Ghost-types, it halves your HP. Then, at the end of each turn, the opposing pokemon loses one-quarter of its HP. This effect ends if the opponent switches.
For non-Ghosts, it lowers Speed by one stage and increases Attack and Defense by one stage each. --- 4670791 Si || Dyrim, the Speaker.

it is not worth using on a ghost type pokemon... ever... --- my posts, now with 100% more signature

Its worth it if you get them down to their last pokemon and then use it. But most Ghost types have much better moves to put in moveslots than a move thats going to be useful 1 time per battle (except maybe Banette, since his movepool sucks anyway);. --- Master of Electricity Try the demo for Darkspore, a PC Action-RPG @ http://store.steampowered.com/app/99890/
