We all know it doesnt do anything. never did. but i still do it everytime i toss a ball.

Nope, and never have.



Everyone knows that you have to start holding A at the exact time the Pokeball closes. If you don't get the timing absolutely perfect, you won't catch the Pokemon.

I can't help it. Super mario RPG and pokemon have trained me to push a button the second an action is committed.

I never thought about it before, but that's probably the reason. I've played through Super Mario RPG so many times, and both Paper Mario games too (in case you were wondering there are only two Paper Mario games).

I've always pressed the A button when throwing Pokeballs or attacking, and I press the B button when the enemy is attacking. I know it doesn't do anything, but maybe in the back of my mind I think it does o.0

I always mashed A because my brother told me mashing b would lower your chances to catch the pokemon.

No, I never did it after pokemon red.
