Magic Bounce destroys the Battle Subway

I'm using an Espeon as my lead, and I'm having the time of my life.

Skarmory uses Stealth Rock! LOLNO
Skarmory uses Spikes! LOLNO
Ampharos uses Thunderwave! LOLNO
Dusknoir uses Toxic! LOLNO

Since my lead doesn't have to worry about status effects, I can CM up and decimate stuff. The other eeveelutions look on in envy of Espeon's greatness.

Nice! That's the approach I'm going for as well.

My Espeon's moveset wouldn't have CM, but a protective cousin:
Tickle (since Espeon's defense is poop, this will come in handy especially with...)
Psyshock (I just reduced their defenses, aaawwww yeah)
Morning Sun (for healing, o'course; might change for damage)
(and I'm not sure what to do for a 4th yet. I can't decide between Toxic, Shadow Ball, or something else)

Having just Psyshock as an attack is begging for a dark type to screw with you.

Tickle works, just not the way he's thinking of.

How does it work then? And I like to cover my defenses... Oh, and your dark Pokemon argument is moot because I could easily sub in something for dark Pokemon just as any other trainer could. I just wasn't sure what.

People need to change up the norm because it's easily counter-able/preventable. I offered and would use an alternative to a typical Espeon moveset that works just as well, if not better because I'm ensuring no strong physical-attacking Pokemon sweeps me over. Either way, everyone has their opinions and own ideas. Mine are a little more original--that's all. ;)

"I'm ensuring no strong physical-attacking Pokemon sweeps me over."

Nope. You're ensuring that the Pokemon you use Tickle on is slightly weaker. You're still not going to be surviving a STAB Crunch very often for example. Once it switches out or is knocked out the Tickle boost is gone forever. You can see why this is different with Calm Mind. This is why you see Swords Dance much more than Screech. Or Bulk Up rather than Tickle for a more direct example.

So what do you suggest.

Espeon used Tickle
Leafeon uses X-Scissor
Espeon survives with 25ish% health.

Espeon used Psyshock
Leafeon survives with 30%ish health.
Leafeon used X-Scissor
Espeon fainted.

So even in your own custom-made scenario designed to support your argument Tickle still loses. Thanks for proving my point. Of course my numbers are just rough estimates but put them into a damage calculator if you like, I'm sure they'll hold up.
