Well, it's blatantly incorrect to use apostrophes to pluralize proper nouns, anyway, and I really feel like schools aren't even teaching that anymore. The amount of pluralization with apostrophes is honestly just ridiculous at this point, and I really want to just put everyone who does it on an island and nuke it.

That said, it should be "Haxoruses."

I never thought of adding "s" or "es" for the plural form. "These Zubat are approaching" sounds fine to me. Nor do I see anything wrong with "Those Haxorus are about to rip your head off."

I guess the Pichu line and Squitle line do do sound better in both ways.

Maybe I took this too far. Or perhaps this series isn't too good to the English Language.

My Japanese may be a bit off here, but they don't have plural forms for most words. When they do have a plural form, I believe it's just by repeating the word. Of course some words will hint that you mean a plural form, such as by saying "many cat", you mean rhe plural (cats).

Eminem should be the main character of the gen6 pokemon games.

Apostophes can be used to pluarize acronyms, but in that case they are optional.

Even at that, it's only really meant to be used to make an acronym less ambiguous. This can just be avoided altogether by using different cases (eg., DVDs).

I'm a fairly good speller, but for some reason that form of the word never occurred to me.

I read about the Japanese Language's lace of Singular Plural difference.

I guess the English Translation kept the lacking difference because of .imitations on the original Game Boy. All important nouns were CAPITALIZE to Hell!

When and where was it established that we don't add an S to the end of the names when pluralizing them? Just curious, because I really don't know.

In-game text and the anime both use the same word for Pokémon singular and plural forms. I don't have examples in front of me, but I know that I've never run across "Pikachus", for example, in those two media.

Couldn't that example be hand-waved as using the apostrophe to replace the "e" in the plural conversion as a contraction, something which is, I assume, grammatically correct?

Yes it sort of fails the purpose of a contraction (using an apostrophe to skip a number of letters, such as "isn't" and "won't" or "it's") by ending with the exact same character count either way and indeed the same spoken syllable count, but.... eh, maybe I'm just being argumentative. Pokemon singular and plural should use the same word, including "Pokemon" itself.

The original RB had an instance of "Digletts", though. It was fixed in FRLG.
