They'll need to stop Pokemon at one point

I don't think you can carry over 1000 Pokedex data in your cartridge.

You may be a bit close-minded.

By the time they've reached that point, cardridges (if they even exist later on) will have more space than we can imagine right now.
Also, even when using full 3D models and maps, a 3DS cardridge has up to 8gb of space - that's more than enough to reach Gen VII.

Why do you think they won't?

Have you ever took a bit to realize how far technology has gone?

Only if they team up with SEGA to bring back "Lock-On Technology." I want to play as Knuckles in Pokémon Black 2 and 3!

The "there are too many pokemon now" sentiment is crazy.

The huge variety is amazingly satisfying. The roster of Pokemon just keeps getting bigger and deeper every generation.

I also don't mind that it takes some effort to collect them all. It's a multiplayer game at heart and trading/finding pokemon is easy enough these days thanks to the internet.
