What about beating Ninja Gaiden 2 on Master ninja?

I wouldn't count it really. It's more trouble than its actually worth and gives you far more frustration than any reward for beating it besides a healthy achievement.

You do get a gamer pic that can be used as a badge of hardcore determination.

Sounds more like obsessive compulsion if you ask me. I've done plenty of hardcore gaming trials in my life and I wear them all with a badge of honor. But there's two things I won't do, and that's NG II beyond Warrior mode and...

You guessed it. Level 3 Sub-Games in Kirby Canvas Curse.

So are you saying it's harder to do?

If so, why in the world would you not count it?

If were talking strictly game skill and games that require a lot of skill then it being frustrating or not having a reward worth completing it is irrelevant

It's "harder" because it was rushed straight out the door without any time to fine-tune its balance. There's no point in completing an unfinished project. The reason Ninja Gaiden Black was so successful was because its hardest difficulty was a legitimate challenge and was polished all the way from start to finish. Itagaki was leaving Tecmo due to the following lawsuit he filed, so he didn't have time to complete NG2; it was simply easier to throw a barrage of enemies to one-shot you than play a skillful challenge.

Be hard all you want. Completing something like that on the hardest difficulty doesn't merit you any gamer points if you're not having any fun doing it. Maximum Carnage was godawful unforgiving, but at least it was hella-fun to blast through.

I don't understand your logic. I enjoyed NG2 and I knew master ninja would be brutal. And the game was polished enough so I don't know what you're getting at. And I don't see how fun factor determines whether beating a hard game gives you any merit. If you had trouble with warrior mode AKA normal mode, well that's your problem. I found it completely doable. Just because you resent the game doesn't make it any less impressive if someones beats it on the hardest difficulty.

^What he said

Fun is irrelevant in this case(even though NG2 is one my faves this gen)

This topic is about gaming skill and achievements that are hard to complete! NG2 and its hardest achievements are some of the most brutal this gen! Whether someone has fun doing it or not is completely irrelevant

As for it being unfinished, the only things about the game that felt a bit broken were the camera at times and the IS ninjas that threw those shurikens non stop both of which are less of a problem the better you are at the game
